We started our photography journey in 2008, driven by a love for capturing life as it happens. We’re sappy, we’re happy, and we believe everyone deserves to have their own beautiful love story told.
Our goal is simple: to create photos and films that don’t just show you what your wedding looked like, but bring you right back to how it felt. While trends come and go, we focus on creating timeless, authentic work. Our photos are bright, clean, and vibrant.
And when it comes to film, we’re not interested in creating another cookie cutter wedding video. We create films that are high energy, emotional, and full of personality. We want your film to feel alive, capturing the laughter, the happy tears, the wild dance moves, the quiet glances, and all the little moments that make your relationship special. Every couple is different, so our approach is too. We take the time to see who you are, how you love, and what makes your relationship unique, then seamlessly weave those pieces together into a film that tells the story of your day and the two of you.
At msxphotos, you get our full attention and care. We only take a limited number of weddings each year so we can give every couple the personal, high-quality experience they deserve. You’ll receive high-resolution photos, a professionally crafted wedding film, and a personal print release so you can print your photos wherever you’d like.

A few days later, you’ll get sneak peeks (because we know patience isn’t a thing after weddings). Then comes a full blog post, and finally your complete gallery within 3 months—aka your personal time machine back to “best day ever.”
The Big Day + Beyond
Your day will fly faster than you can believe, so remember: eat, laugh, love, and let your vendor squad (including us!) handle the chaos. We’ll be right there capturing all the big + little moments.

About a month before the wedding, we’ll send over a quick timeline questionnaire. Together we’ll map out all the details so the day runs smooth as butter. Basically, it’s our secret sauce for stress free photos.
Wedding Countdown
Think of this as a double date with cameras! Your engagement session is on us, and it’s the best way to get comfy in front of the lens. Feeling awkward? Don’t worry, we’ve got enough dad jokes and goofy prompts to keep it fun.

This is where it all begins! Choosing your photo + video team is a big deal, so don’t be shy—ask us anything. We love chatting and want to make sure we’re the perfect match. We love light. Natural light will always be our first choice but we will use flash and video lights when it's necessary. Our style is defined by bright bold colors and timeless imagery. We love capturing our couples in beautiful surroundings. On wedding day, we often use flash to capture sunset portraits and fun photos during the receptions.
what is your style? our venue is dimmly lit. Will it be okay?
Our couples are never just a number to us. We intentionally take on a limited number of weddings each year so we can truly get to know you and provide the best experience possible. Because of this, dates fill quickly—so if you love our work, we recommend reaching out sooner rather than later. To officially book, you’ll just need to complete the online contract and submit the non-refundable retainer. We’re happy to send over all the details to help you easily secure your date!
We love you! How do we book?
That's exactly what we're here for! We always say, "Don't worry about posing, just be in love!" Think of your engagement session as time for all of us to just hang out and have fun! Chee La and I will spend time directing and getting you both comfortable in front of the camera.
what if we don't know how to pose?
Depending on your package, we do offer the full length footage of the ceremony and toasts as time allows! That way you can always revisit your wedding at any time and any family members that weren't able to attend can see it. Will you get all the clips we captured the entire day? No and that's because your wedding film will be made up of many clips that we capture throughout the day to build it. Some will be short, some will be longer. We do not offer those video clips.
do you offer raw video footage?
As much as we’d love to use any song you want, copyright laws limit wedding films to royalty-free music (and no one wants a lawsuit 😅). Licensed music requires costly fees, so it isn’t something we’re able to offer.
That said, music is a huge part of telling your story. Chee La and I take time to get to know every couple so we understand your vibe and your day. Instead of choosing a song in advance, we intentionally select music (often spending several days for this part alone) that fits how your wedding naturally unfolds. With access to a large, high-quality royalty-free music library, we’re able to find the perfect soundtrack to match your story and emotions.

do you offer drone footage?
Your wedding day is a once-in-a-lifetime moment. There are no second chances. We want you to feel completely confident in your decision, which is why we invite couples to thoughtfully review our full journal galleries (each featuring 200+ images) and films to fully experience our artistry and approach. Every image and frame is intentionally edited to reflect our signature style, and for that reason, unedited files are not released.
Can I have all the raw photos & videos? even the unedited?
In all our years, Chee La and I have never delivered a gallery late. That's something we’re incredibly proud of. Engagement sessions are delivered within 1 month and wedding galleries within 3 months of your wedding date. All photos are delivered through a private online gallery with access to our personal print shop, and your gallery will be hosted for up to one year unless otherwise noted.
when will i receive my gallery?
Yes, and yes! It's so important to protect us and you. We wouldn't leave the house without it!
are you insured? do you have backup equipment in case of camera failure?
As a husband-and-wife team, Chee La and I have captured weddings side by side for years. We move in sync, stay out of each other’s way, and work quietly together so every meaningful moment is captured without added stress. We’re not just documenting your day... we’re telling your story together, through photos and video that naturally flow as one. You might be considering hiring separate photo and video teams—and that’s totally an option. But from our experience, it can sometimes cost more and feel less seamless when the teams aren’t used to working together.

Chee La and I live in Berlin, Wisconsin! It's 20 minutes west of Oshkosh and our little slice of the county paradise. We are not limited to just the Green Lake area though. We have photographed weddings all over Wisconsin and would love to capture your wedding no matter where you are! Did we mention we LOVE traveling.

We absolutely love working with Mai See and Chee La! My husband and I are hopeless romantics so we were extremely nervous for our engagement shoot. Mai See and Chee La had wonderful tips and cute games for each shot to help bring out the love we had for each other. They are professional, responsive, and super understanding! The photography timeline and consultation mad the whole process so much easier to visualize what we wanted to have captured on our wedding day. We felt so taken care of! Many of our friends and families loved our wedding photos too! One of our colleagues said our photos looked like it came out of a magazine. We would definitely book them again for future shoots. Mai See and Chee La are amazing to work with. Not only are they professional but easy going and fun. We laughed a lot and got along great with both of them. We do this because we genuinely love what we do and want to be fully present for every couple we serve, giving each wedding the care and dedication it deserves.
