It’s no secret that we love Kohler-Andrae State Park! We’ve photograph plenty of engagements and family sessions here but this was the first time for a wedding. And gotta say — we had the most amazing intimate beach wedding with Ashley & Kevin! The weather felt like the opposite of their cozy autumn engagement. The sun hid behind the clouds peeking out once in a while and the breeze made the warm air just right for the beach.

The details were simple, a sign leading family and friends along the path to the beach, ending with an elegant arch setup right in front of the water. With the sand and waves as the background not much else was needed. It was simply magical. But before the beach and I do’s we would need to get Ashley and Kevin looking their best and shake off some of their nerves. I would say doing a couple of first looks with her dads and brother helped. And finally seeing Kevin helped as well. The surprise to top it all off was a little visit from their sweet doggie Lily. She surprised Ashley during her first look with Kevin and the nerves were instantly replaced with happy smiles and a few tears in everyone’s eyes.

The ceremony was super intimate with friends and family gathered closely around the arch to witness these two say I do. With that out of the way, all that was left was to take gorgeous photos of the newlyweds. Time goes by too fast for this part and we could honestly spend all day shooting these two. Congrats to Ashley and Kevin.
