It was about a year ago that we met Emily and John for the very first time. Right away, we loved how John knew just how to get Emily to laugh the most. They just had such sweet chemistry together and we had so much fun talking all about them. When the time came for their wedding, it felt like meeting up with old friends. We smiled and laughed and cracked jokes while they got ready. We got to know their intimate wedding party as well and took some fun shots of their small group.

Their wedding was held at Barnwood Events. With beautiful trees and wildflowers surrounding the barn, it was hard to believe that it was located right in Madison! The ceremony arch was placed right in front a tall willow tree (our favorite!) and the inside of the barn was decorated so rustic and pretty. We couldn’t wait to make use of every spot we could.

With Emily and John dressed to the nines, we took them back out to the willow tree where they had a very sweet and emotional first look. With the nerves out of the way and a couple of happy tears exchanged, it was on to bridal portraits. We took so many wonderful photos of these two! It was all smiles, hugs & kisses for them. Then it was off to get married as family and friends slowly filled in. After that the party got started and it did not stop. Everyone danced and sang and so did Chee La and I. We were lucky to sneak Emily and John out for a breather and some magical nighttime portraits amongst the wild flowers. The night ended too soon as all weddings do and we said our good byes. Emily and John you two are so perfect for each other and we wish you the best!
