There’s just something magical about documenting a love story on 35mm film and Super 8. It’s something Chee La and I had been dreaming about adding for a while, and one day we finally said, “Why not now?” We’re so glad we did. There is something so nostalgic and honest about film. Every frame is intentional and filled with the kind of feeling that never goes out of style.

Andrea and Brandon chose their family land for their engagement session, and we couldn’t have imagined a more meaningful place to tell their story. Between the rolling hills, open fields, and quiet tree lines, every corner felt like home. They were an absolute joy to photograph. They were game for everything we threw their way, never took themselves too seriously, and made every moment feel effortless. Whether they were walking through the fields, laughing together, or simply soaking in the evening, they brought so much genuine energy to every frame.

Capturing their love on both digital and film gave us the best of both worlds. Digital preserved every joyful moment, while 35mm and Super 8 added a timeless, nostalgic feeling that we’ll never get tired of. We already know their wedding day is going to be something special, and we can’t wait to tell the next chapter of their story.
