Kara & Dylan’s engagement session was one of those evenings that reminded us why we love what we do. There’s something extra special about getting to photograph people we’ve already had the honor of knowing through their family. A few years ago, we captured Kara’s older brother’s wedding, and now we get to be part of Kara’s story too. It made this session feel even more meaningful for us.

These high school sweethearts invited us onto their family land for their engagement session, and it was the perfect place to capture them. We spent the evening laughing, exploring, chasing the golden light, and soaking in the most beautiful sunset. We also had so much fun adding Super 8 film into their session. It was such a fun way to capture this season of their story.

Kara & Dylan are seriously the cutest together, and we already can’t wait to capture their wedding next year right on the water. It’s going to be a beautiful one for sure.
